Apply to the DRSc Program

Thank you for your interest in the Regulatory Science doctoral program at USC.  Given the program structure and our course offerings, we admit students to the DRSc program every two years.   The deadline for submission was February 3, 2014 for admission to the fall 2014 cohort.

Applications for the 2016 cohort will be accepted starting January 2015 with an anticipated deadline of February 1, 2016.

Application Eligibility Requirements

  • Earned bachelor’s degree with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Industry experience
  • International students only: TOEFL (minimum 100) or IELTS (minimum 7). A Master’s degree from a US institution does not waive this requirement. 

How to Apply

Applying for admission to the Regulatory Science doctoral graduate degree program at USC is a two-part process governed by the USC Office of Graduate Admission.

1. Complete the online USC application for admission (POST/PROGRAM CODE is 1349 for DRSc Regulatory Science degree in the USC School of Pharmacy)

2. Application fee of $85.00

3.  Statement of purpose – 1 page, single-spaced, 12 point font, 1 inch margins

4. Resume

5. Three (3) letters of recommendation, academic or professional, demonstrating leadership capabilities.  Letters must be submitted online.  To initiate this process, select “yes” to the question “Will this provider be submitting a letter of recommendation online.” The recommender will then receive an email and password so that they can complete the recommendation form.

6. Official Transcripts in Sealed Envelopes from ALL undergraduate and graduate institutions should be sent to:

If you have unofficial copies of final transcripts, you may upload them with your application. However, official transcripts must be received in order to finalize admissions decisions.  Applicants with foreign transcripts must submit an official language transcript as well as a certified translation.

DO NOT fill-out a supplemental application under the School of Pharmacy (this is not necessary for our application process).

7. International applicants who did not receive a 4 year undergraduate degree in the United States (or other English speaking institution) are required to submit a TOEFL or IELTS scores (a two year undergraduate degree or a Master’s degree from a US institution does not waive this requirement).

NOTE: GRE not required.
